New York wedding
I loved that this image felt timeless. It took me back to wedding images I have seen from London decades ago.
Often a simple environmental image can both set the scene for the wedding, as well as hopefully remind someone in 30 years of the many little details of the spaces they prepped and celebrated in.
There may be nothing more peaceful or emotive than photographing a loving hug. I search for these moments constantly throughout a wedding day. To me, this perfectly freezes time and captures the love these two sisters share, and represents exactly what is meaningful about a wedding for a family.
It doesn't matter if there are 50 guests at your wedding, or 450. In my experience there are still too many details, and moving prices. These days, the cell phone manages to hold things together, and I hope this image reminds Steve in 15 years of what he was feeling as he helped organize family before the wedding.
