Portrait of the groom in Chile

I don't tend to post many portraits on my blog.  But, a portrait can often tell as much about a personality as capturing a candid moment of laughter, nervousness, or confusion.  This portrait of Matt speaks to me of his calm and self assured personality that was so easy to be around while in Patagonia Chile for their elopement.

Cocktail hour at Wolf's Neck Farm in Maine

children and guests attending a wedding at the wolf's neck farm near Portland, Maine

"As an object, a photograph has its own life in the world.  It can be saved in a shoebox or in an album or in a museum.  It can be reproduced as information or as an advertisement.  It can be bought and sold.  It may be regarded as a utilitarian object or as a work of art.  The context in which a photograph is seen affects the meanings a viewer draws from it. "  Stephen Shore from his book "The Nature of Photographs"  ~ More from Julia and Andrew's <here>
