Lindsay and Brad fit together perfectly. So seamlessly and so naturally you can't imagine a situation/world in which they wouldn't be married. This connection they share is a joy to be around, and then into the mix add a fun loving and supportive crew of friends, and you have a special wedding. From rehearsal dinner in Newburyport to the Willowdale for their ceremony and reception, everyone in attendance was pumped to celebrate. Enjoy.
Lauren and Matt know how to throw a party. They hail from Cali, Matt working as a playwright and Lauren occasionally providing the voices for animation series'. Even over our initial video/skype consultation I felt an immediate connection with these two humans. Something they have the ability to create with anyone and everyone, given their fun loving and gentle spirit. Their weekend started buy taking over the "The Cove" bowling alley in Great Barrington. It may look familiar, as it was the inspiration behind many scenes in The Big Lebowski, and provided a backdrop for BBQ and laughter throughout the evening. The wedding celebration was hosted at the stunning Gedney Farm, with their ceremony atop the hillside knoll, cocktails outside and a fantastic dance party in the barn. Complete with an epic fireworks display to top off a grand evening. My lovely wife Connie (of Studio Atticus) attended the day with me, experimenting throughout by shooting the gorgeous Leica Monochrom digital camera. Her images are featured below and in the gallery alongside my own. A HUGE thank you to everyone involved in this day, especially Casey and her team at Katie O' Events for their perfect coordination and for going above and beyond in a way rarely seen in event planners. Sara wants to be a farmer when she grows up, and with Dan by her side they create a perfect team of kindness, love and gentleness. They were so easy going, subtly really excited, and I had a blast being in their company all day. Their celebration at the Aquarium overwhelmed my visual senses with animals, light, and I loved watching the guests and kids enjoy this unique setting. Top it all off with a massive fireworks display, and you have a pretty killer wedding. I hope you enjoy.
Adam and Natasha's wedding was held at what I consider to be the most underutilized venue around Boston. The Old Manse in Concord, MA has a lovely gentleness. Filled with history it provided a stunning backdrop to an extremely fun wedding. Both of these two are really laid back, really fun, and designed their day to allow them to be very present and enjoy the minutia of the event, and the company of their friends. It was a joy to be a part of. Enjoy.
These two delightful humans were the first EVER wedding held at the stunning Aldworth Manor. Mark my words, this venue will explode in popularity in the next year. It provided the perfect backdrop for their two families to mingle, laugh, play lawn games....and yes, dodge the rain for about 30 mins. The day was filled with every type of light a photographer loves. Crisp bright sunlight, diffuse clouds, epic rain downpour complete with thunder, and that soft moody post storm light during the dimming evening sun. These two took it all in stride and truly had a blast on their day. One of my favorite memories was finding kids digging out from under the bar their top secret stash of candy and snacks. Secondly, was Cam's perfectly executed first kiss....clearly the passionate french lineage shining through. Enjoy the images.
Cindy and Emad had a perfect, intimate celebration overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. It was immediately clear in every interaction I had with them how perfectly matched for one another they are. Cindy has the best laugh, and they both smile ALL of the time. It was special that so many of their friends could travel from all over the world and attend, bringing a level of excitement that was contagious. Enjoy.
I don't think there is a venue in Boston with a better view of the skyline than at the Hyatt Boston Harbor by the airport. Amy and Kevin gathered their closest friends to help them celebrate this fun milestone in their lives. There was a ton of energy at this wedding, and simultaneously their entire goal was to be present and have a relaxed evening. Mission definitely accomplished, and it was special to have Kevin's mother be the officiant for the ceremony. Couldn't have asked for a better wedding, and I hope you enjoy.
Shell and Will are just too cute. Individually they are both extremely nice humans...but combined, they have a spunk for fun and life with a special bond for one another. Needless to say, their wedding day was filled with fun and laughter, friends and family, and the single most impressive Congo line I have ever seen at a wedding. Each and every guest...I mean, every single person at the wedding was in a snaking line, shaking it through the hotel. I was honored to watch these two be married, and know they will have a fun filled life together. Enjoy
Some weddings just seem to match the couple perfectly. This was one of those occasions, and it was such fun to watch Jennie and Paul host their friends and family for an epic wedding/dinner celebration at Menton. The only sad part of the day was finding out the my past groom James (who cooks there) wasn't around that evening, so I will have to go back to see him in action. The day started with a casual stroll around their neighborhood of Beacon Hill, and progressed through an untold number of courses of delicious, perfectly prepared food. I know they were great, because Jennie and Paul treated me to each and every one. Yum. I hope you enjoy the images.
This lovely day served as the stateside "official party" and reception for Brittany and Jesse. They chose to elope over the winter at a magical tropical destination for which I have (mostly) forgiven them for not bringing me along, haha. They were both SO relaxed, choosing to make their day entirely about friends, family and being present of mind to fully enjoy.
