I am not bragging or anything, but this was a no look (holding the camera above my/her head) manual focused image. grin.
Kate and Bernard were such sweet humans. Whenever together, they had this bubble of perfect banter, laughter, and balance of helping each other flow through life.
These two live and breath Arlington, Ma. Both connected to the high school and live only a block from the town hall, where they celebrated. A quick portrait that I hope will remind them in the future of their venue, and having a second alone to catch their breath.
The longer I photograph weddings (10 years now!) and despite my love of funky, artistic, documentary imagery....the more I come to believe that an image like this may be one of the most historically meaningful images captured on a wedding day. If you can manage a photograph with every guest in attendance...do it.
