Photography serves as a platform to remember forgotten moments and memories. As I roam through a wedding day I often find small details of which I know nothing about. But, the above image was taken on the wedding morning, before preparations had begun, and I like to think this image will take people back to the celebrations the night before the wedding, the buildup, the anticipation, and the laughter amongst friends.
Julie and Elisse's wedding celebration at the Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA
This family was special. All of them were so filled with love for Julie and Elisse, and mix in their adoring friends, it made for a glorious wedding day. Tons of laughter, and loads of tears (thank goodness for autofocus). Julie added pressure to the day for me, as she is a wildly talented photographer herself (seriously, check out her work: http://www.julieciollo.com/ ) She even posted the best 'selfie' of her and Elisse I have ever seen the night of the wedding! Anyways, it was a pleasure to spend the day with them and enjoy.
Rick and Ron were all smiles, completely aware of the uniqueness the day was presenting to them. They are simply a joy to be around, as were the wonderful guests and family they surrounded themselves with. We proceeded through the day from their beautiful home, walking through Copley all the way to the Boston Public Garden for their ceremony near the Angel of the Waters Sculpture, and ending the evening at the Hampshire house. I was honored to document their celebration and hope you enjoy the overview.
James and Andrew celebrated their wedding at the Overbrook House in Bourne, MA.
I found myself surrounded by the couple's amazing friends, and loving family coming together at every moment of this wedding. It was a wonderful celebration to be witness to, and the setting was stunning. A spot of rain on the day timed so it didn't interfere with anything, and was barely noticed by anyone, as everyone was utterly focused on James and Andrew's marriage. So many wonderful details, and so much collective work from everyone went into making this day special. Home made cookies....and ALL of the flowers were even grown in the couples garden! It was a blast, and an honor to document. I hope you enjoy the images.
Ally and Alexis eloped at Cambridge city hall.
I know I already said how excited these two lovebirds were....but they were SO happy. I loved so many aspects of the few hours we spent together, our walk, our Uber ride, their ceremony under the tree...and mostly when they had prepared their vows as cards to one another to read immediately after being married. We ended by hopping the 'T' to their first date location of Shay's in Harvard Square, and I was honored to bear witness to their care and love for one another. Enjoy.
Hal and Geoff's touching and beautiful wedding day in York, Maine.
I know I could fill an entire paragraph with just one word descriptions of all the fun events and moments from this wedding. Suffice it to say I enjoyed spending the weekend with these two, and meeting their friends and family (many visiting for the first time from the midwest). The events started at Hal's family's home/barn (which they basically had to restore) for the rehearsal dinner. Then, many of the guests were up at the crack of dawn for coffee and SLUICING! Yes, sluicing. New to me (and you better believe I jumped in) this involves jumping from the bridge into water on one side of a road, and during the morning tidal shifting water, you get sucked/shot through the "sluice" or tunnel under the road. It was a blast.
The wedding day begin at the York Harbor Inn, then proceeded to the Harley Mason Reserve for a wedding ceremony overlooking the ocean and beach. A stunning and peaceful setting for Hal's father (a retired Episcopal priest) to officiate the marriage. The staff went above and beyond in every way at the Reading Room for the reception, and yikes, did this crew turn the evening into a dance/club scene at the end of the dinner. #fun I was honored to document this day, and thanks to all the friendly faces I met along the way.
Ally and Alexis were SO excited. I loved being around their playfulness, and watching how they were constantly taking care of one another. More words later, but for now...a sneak peek/overview of their elopement at Cambridge City Hall. Change the quality if it auto starts on low!
...please excuse the ad/pop ups, they are not from me....it is the only streamlined way to use good music legally. The artists and labels get paid, and we get to listen to great music.
Wade and Steven's wedding was beautiful.
Emotional. Touching. Stylish. Real. Honest
....and a heck of a lot of fun. I know I say a lot that I love my clients as well as their friends and family, but these two were surrounded by endless tears the entire weekend. They started things off in Provincetown with a dragqueen show of the one and only Miss Richfield 1981 along with cocktails (oh, and Wade secretly learned, wrote, and performed a Ukulele song for Steven). The wedding ceremony was intimate, with everyone standing around them and then off to an amazing dinner at the The Red Inn before ending the night at the famous Boatslip for a Tea Dance. Loved every second of this, enjoy the pictures.
