elopement
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.” - Pablo Neruda
"I have a room all to myself; It is nature" - Henry David Thoreau
Patagonia Camp. Chile.
Heather and Matt offered the incredible opportunity for my wife and I to document their private elopement in Chile. The above image was taken within their first few hours in Puerto Notales, sitting with their translator (required by law, as they both speak Spanish) awaiting their "interview" process with the city hall official who was conducting part 1 of their official marriage. Many days later (after eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with them) and a long hike, the below image captures their lakeside ceremony at Patagonia Camp. The same city official traveled the 2hrs north to finish the process, with enthusiastic hotel staff looking on. Out of our nearly month long journey, the most memorable part was the honor of bonding with these two unique and special humans, and bearing witness to their adventure. Many more images will pop up soon.
Small City Hall Wedding and Brunch at Hotel Marlowe
I love when things just seem to align...in a way that is just "meant to be". This is how I felt when the lovely Mandy from Hummingbird Bridal brought Brian and Laura in to meet me. They were planning their stateside wedding celebration in just 3 weeks, staring their day getting ready together in their apartment and making their way to Cambridge City Hall for the ceremony. Surrounding themselves with just a handful of guests made it such a beautiful and intimate experience. Everyone made their way to an epic spread at the Hotel Marlowe for a brunch 'reception', and it was hard to believe I only got to spend 3 hours with these two wonderful people. Enjoy.
Ally and Alexis eloped at Cambridge city hall.
I know I already said how excited these two lovebirds were....but they were SO happy. I loved so many aspects of the few hours we spent together, our walk, our Uber ride, their ceremony under the tree...and mostly when they had prepared their vows as cards to one another to read immediately after being married. We ended by hopping the 'T' to their first date location of Shay's in Harvard Square, and I was honored to bear witness to their care and love for one another. Enjoy.
Ally and Alexis were SO excited. I loved being around their playfulness, and watching how they were constantly taking care of one another. More words later, but for now...a sneak peek/overview of their elopement at Cambridge City Hall. Change the quality if it auto starts on low!
...please excuse the ad/pop ups, they are not from me....it is the only streamlined way to use good music legally. The artists and labels get paid, and we get to listen to great music.
