Almost everyone sneaks a look at the newly placed wedding ring. Either upon their own finger, or their partners. I love when I catch this moment as it represents the newness of that moment.
I always say that each couple knows how to enjoy each others company, how they hold each other, kiss, and hold hands. The second I move too many arms, hands, and create a forced picture things start to lack authenticity. I love digital for many reasons, but one being that it give me the freedom to shoot through moments while two people just hang out together, and *hopefully* give an occasional kiss.
I felt like this was a soft bit of photographic poetry. Hopefully saying something different to each person, but also capturing the freedom of slipping off your shoes after the wedding ceremony and giving hugs to the bride and groom as everyone gathers.
The wait. Standing alone in front of all of your closest friends and family while already feeling emotional and excited to see your partner. The beginning of a ceremony is such a cruel buildup for a groom, and I love witnessing all of the ways people handle this. Personally, I had a severe case of tunnel vision and only remember watching my wife make her way up the isle (at least when I could see through my tears).
I always giggle, and can't help but snap a photo when I see a classic multitasking parent. Over the years, many iterations of mom or dad holding wine, beer (multiple beers!), while rocking a little one have been been captured. Coincidentally, these two hail from Alaska (my home state) and made the epic journey to support Justine and Marc's recent wedding along the Charles at the Museum of industry and innovation.

Stefanie and Jesse LOVE a good party. So imagine if a wildly tight group of friends and family got together for an epic celebration of love, complete with donut bar, pies, and karaoke! These two are definitely meant to spend their lives together, and their ceremony had everyone in tears multiple times. Blue Ribbon BBQ catered an amazing feast and one highlight of many was the rapping toast written by a dear friend and performed to perfection. I loved the energy of everyone present, and the love both of their families brought in support of their marriage and the coming together of the families. Enjoy
A very special shout out to Alisha and the team at Without A Hitch Planning for helping orchestrate a perfect wedding day.
