Piano during cocktail hour at the Lenox hotel

Lenox_Hotel_Wedding_Boston-Photographer-81.JPG

"There is a magic made by melody:
A spell of rest, and quiet breath, and cool
Heart, that sinks through fading colors deep
To the subaqueous stillness of the sea,
And floats forever in a moon-green pool,
Held in the arms of rhythm and of sleep."

Pre-Wedding Fueling at PAGU Restaurant in Cambridge, MA

wedding-prep-fuel-pagu-restaurant-wedding-cambridge.jpg

I tend to fall in love with these little still life vignettes on a wedding day.  Tiny microcosms of found details that are always so personalized for each couple, and I truly believe many memories will be stirred by images such as this when viewed in 10 years...."oh yeah...Crab Rangoon's!!"  "Remember when coconut water was a thing?!

Bustled at the Park Plaza in Boston

Park_Plaza_Hotel_Wedding_Photography_Boston-112.JPG

I loved the color transition between the reception/dance floor area, and the behind the scenes space in which I found Nicole being bustled.  Not only by her bridesmaid, and not only by her husband...but also while taking a long peek at her new wedding ring.  #weddingmultitasking

The Lyman Estate Wedding Photography

Julie and Elisse's wedding celebration at the Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA

This family was special.  All of them were so filled with love for Julie and Elisse, and mix in their adoring friends, it made for a glorious wedding day.  Tons of laughter, and loads of tears (thank goodness for autofocus).  Julie added pressure to the day for me, as she is a wildly talented photographer herself (seriously, check out her work:  http://www.julieciollo.com/ ) She even posted the best 'selfie' of her and Elisse I have ever seen the night of the wedding!  Anyways, it was a pleasure to spend the day with them and enjoy.

Russ and Charlie's wedding at the Intercontinental Boston

Charlie and Russ's celebration brought friends and family from around the globe into Boston for an epic wedding.  They both have the type of personality you just enjoy being around...welcoming, loving, and ready for fun.  The intercontinental provided the perfect backdrop for the most epic hora I have ever seen (yes, Russ nearly hit the ceiling of the hotel).   Because they hail from sunny California we were able to do most of their portraits two days after their wedding, wandering around fields in Concord, MA. Special thanks to Michelle at The Day of Events, as well as the Intercontinental team for perfect coordination.  I hope you enjoy.

A Wychmere Beach Club Wedding

Kayla and Jesse's Wedding at the Wychmere Beach Club | Harwich Port, MA

These two lovely humans hail from the sunny west cost...and luckily for them, they brought ideal weather with them to cape cod for their wedding.  The entire day was filled with anticipation...and a few nerves, which led to the best buildup of tears and emotion I have witnessed in a while at a wedding.  I mean, TEARS...EVERYWHERE.  It was lovely.  I hope it translates in photos what a great love these two share, both with each other, but also their friends and family...as well as what a fun time they had.  I was honored to document their day, and hope you enjoy.

A stopmotion film from an Endicott Estate Wedding

A stopmotion film from an Endicott Estate Wedding

A fun overview and peek into Brittany and Jesse's wedding day!  These have become a fun add on I am able to offer all of my clients, and they are loving them as a sharable first look into their wedding celebration.  A stopmotion film made with the still images photographed throughout the day.

Don't forget to bump/change the quality of the video if it auto starts low....just hit the cog icon and move to 720p.

...please excuse the ad/pop ups, they are not from me....it is the only streamlined way to use good music legally.  The artists and labels get paid, and we get to listen to great music.

Downtown Boston Engagement Photography

engagement session on the esplandae

I am terribly excited to spend next 4th of July weekend with these two at the Intercontinental Hotel.  We ventured from the ICA through Boston to the Esplanade for their session....getting lost in an Uber along the way, and magically ending at the very spot of their first date.  These two were so natural together, and I loved our time together.

Energetic Intercontinental Hotel Wedding

bride and groom portrait at the intercontinental

Elena and Stan's wedding at the Intercontinental on the Boston waterfront

From start to finish I loved every interaction I had with these two lovely people.  I mean, right this second, they are in my home state of Alaska for their honeymoon (side note:  my second couple this year headed there! rock.)  Their "child" Henry the Frenchie (french bulldog) was only around to bear witness to the ceremony, but clearly stole the show.  Everyone had a blast rocking the horah to the music of the Alexis Band.  Thank you both, and to all the friends and family that made this day so fun and special.  Enjoy.

Special thanks to Paul Melino and Karly Danais at the Intercontinental for perfect coordination and helping Stan and Elena pull off a flawless wedding.  Flowers were done by Carol Silverston of The Original Touch, and the evening was rocked out by The Alexis Band who were brilliant performers.
